- Gather all ingredients and ensure the salmon is fresh.

Making the Teriyaki Sauce
- Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan.

Marinating the Salmon
- Season the salmon fillets with freshly cracked black pepper.

Cooking the Salmon
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
