Method
Preparation
- Gather all essential ingredients and tools. Measure out flour, sugar, and other dry ingredients. Soften the butter.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the Bundt pan by greasing it thoroughly and optionally dusting it with flour.
Pre-Cooking
- Consider toasting any nuts or other add-ins to enhance flavors.
Mixing and Assembling
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually add eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully integrated before adding the next.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and alternate adding them with milk to the creamed mixture, starting and ending with dry ingredients.
- Integrate any additional spices or flavorings and gently fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
Cooking
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and bake for approximately 45-55 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack.
- Once completely cooled, add your glaze or dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
You can prepare the cake a day or two ahead. Wrap in plastic wrap to retain moisture. Freeze for up to three months. Experiment with glazes for added taste.
