Ingredients

Cured Meats
  • 3 oz Prosciutto
  • 3 oz Salami
  • 3 oz Capicola
Cheeses
  • 8 oz Mozzarella balls
  • 4 oz Provolone
  • 4 oz Aged Parmesan
Vegetables
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup Marinated artichokes
  • 1 cup Roasted red peppers
Olives
  • 1 cup Mixed green and black olives
Nuts
  • 1 cup Mixed nuts or marcona almonds
Herbs and Seasonings
  • 1 tbsp Fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley
Dips
  • 1 jar Olive tapenade
  • 1 jar Pesto
Finishing Touches
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the cured meats into bite-sized pieces and cut the cheeses into wedges or cubes. Wash the vegetables and drain any excess liquid from marinated items.
Pre-Cooking or Special Preparation
  1. Roast vegetables, like bell peppers, to enhance their sweetness and texture. If using fresh vegetables, lightly toss them in olive oil, salt, and herbs for added flavor.
Mixing and Assembling
  1. Assemble the wreath on a large, round platter or a wooden board, starting with a circular base made of cheese roundels or clusters of olives.
  2. Alternate layers of meats, cheeses, and vegetables to form a wreath shape, filling gaps with nuts and smaller treats like cherry tomatoes.
Cooking and Finishing
  1. Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the top layer and garnish with fresh herbs scattered artfully across the board.

Notes

You can prepare the ingredients a day in advance but assemble the board closer to serving time. Served with breadsticks, crackers, or baguette slices for guests to enjoy alongside.
